What Do You Mean?

Hey there! It's been quite a minute since we have met here, in this space. I have missed you. It's been a whirlwind of things going on! Life. It's kind of like being on a rollercoaster that never ends! I think of a rollercoaster because there are many lows, but there are so many highs! So many exciting twists and turns. So many unexpected changes. And alllllll the feelings! Haha.
Speaking of exciting changes, I am excited to move our little space here into a new direction. You will see many changes occurring and may have already noticed a few. I can't share many details yet, but soon, there will be quite an announcement, and I'm hoping you will be as excited as I am! :)
Okay, back to what I came here to share with you today. Because of all these new things happening, I have been creating content for the infamous social media! If you know me, you know I am not very savvy when it comes to the whole "world wide web"... Especially social media! It's just not my favorite space to be in, but I definitely appreciate it because it has allowed us to connect! :)
I was really just explaining to God how I would never be able to attract an audience in that space to share His Word with. I really have no idea what I am doing! And so clearly, I heard Him whisper, " What do you mean?" I instantly knew exactly what He was saying to me. Who are you creating for? Man, or Me? Are you working alone or with Me? I started laughing because I felt so silly in that moment. If The Great I Am is in a partnership with this project, I can KNOW that whomever He wants to reach with it, will be reached with it. It will stretch as far and wide, and become as big or small as He wants it to be. It is really not my job to control that. My job is to yield and take each step as He directs it. That is all.
It's so easy to get caught up in the lusts of our flesh to desire attention, acknowledgement, and acceptance from others. Especially in today's world, where social media and likes, shares, followers seem to be the spotlight of everything. Don't get me wrong, the more engagement, the more the Gospel can spread (if that is the content being shared), but it's so easy to get caught up in other intentions. When that happens, we often find ourselves feeling unworthy and invisible, or we get entangled in self-righteousness and pride. Then the root, the place we are operating from, dies. Why? Because sin, (pride) is death. Sin is evil and God cannot partner with evil.
Our flesh is evil. Our flesh and our spirit are always warring against each other. Thank God for grace! We are under His Divine grace. This gives us the strength to overcome the desires of our flesh. God doesn't expect or even want perfection from us. We could never obtain that goal. He just wants our hearts. That is all. Not performances and works. He just wants a pure heart that loves Him.
I just want to encourage you to come back to the heart of worship. Spend time in His presence. Get to really know your Father! He loves you and He has so much that He wants to speak to you, but if you are not positioned to hear from Him, you will miss out. His presence is a "present".. Haha.. Was that too much? Seriously though, it really is. There are treasures that can only be found in the glorious presence of the Lord. Healing can only take place in His presence. Offer yourself as you are and ask Him to purify your heart. Did I mention how much you are loved? If so, sorry not sorry! Haha. It deserves to be repeated!
Before I go, I want to pray over you, if that's okay.
Dear Heavenly Father,
There is no one like You! Thank you for who You are. Thank You for loving us just the way we are. Sinful and all. You still call us Yours. You still sent Your only Son to die on the cross for us, despite how unworthy we are of that sacrifice. I ask You to open the eyes of every person reading this right now. Remove every blinder that may be preventing them from seeing things through Your eyes. Release Your perfect grace to enable them to transition into exactly who You have called them to be. Stir up a desire to please You above all, and to seek You above all. We love You, and we are so humbled and honored to be children of the King of Kings!
In the Precious name of Jesus. Amen.
Blessings and Love!
