He sat by the Well

Hi friends! Super short message! I was not planning on doing a post today, but the Lord really put something on my heart to share with you!
Okay, let's dive right in!
So, God has been doing a ton of speaking to me lately on something that I can feel is extremely important to Him right now: Sitting still with Him. I can tell you this: He wants you close to Him. He is calling you closer, to a deeper level. What I heard specifically: "I will hold them." He says to " Come away with me." I really believe that He is going to reveal Himself to some of you in a "new way". But, He's saying that you have to come closer.
When I was reading my Bible today, I was led to John 4. I really didn't understand, at first, why He wanted me to read the story of the woman at the well again. I think I have read this story at least 100 times over the span of my life! There are so many amazing things to learn from this story, so I really encourage you to read the whole chapter! But for today, there is just one verse that I need to share with you!
When I got to verse 6, it jumped so far off the page, I was like overwhelmed! It was one simple word that ministered to me a thousand!....
Jesus sat by the well.
"Now Jacob's well was there. Jesus, therefore, being wearied from His journey, sat thus by the well. It was about the sixth hour."- John 4:6
Jesus was weary. Come on! Who is this speaking to? All of us?! There are so many reasons why we would be weary right now, in the world that we are living in. Let's be honest, it's been a very tough season, to say the least. Guys, He already knows everything you have been through. He has seen it all! You don't even have to exhaust yourself unpacking and reliving all the details. He already knows! He desires to give you rest.
Please, come sit with the Lord.
That is all today! I hope you really embrace this invitation from your Father, who loves you so deeply.
"But whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst. But the water that I shall give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life.- John 4:14
"Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light."- Matthew 11:28-30
Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank you so much for knowing and caring about every single detail of our lives. It is an honor to be Your child! I ask You to help us to sit still with You. Teach us Your ways, Lord, as the world teaches us something very different. Teach us to take Your yoke, and place our burdens on You, as You have offered to carry them for us. Please renew our minds and refresh our souls that can only be quenched with Your living water.
In Jesus' Name we pray,
Amen.
Be Back Soon Friends!
